Description

Coffee Sock - Reusable Organic Cotton ColdBrew Filter 64 oz. is a reusable alternative to paper filters and nylon sacks.

Product Features:

  • Fit: 12.25 inch length by 6 inch height (fits a half gallon jar).
  • 275 billion paper filters are being made and discarded each and every year - which is equivalent to 1.5 million trees.
  • With Coffee Sock, you can have a more sustainable brew.
  • Featuring 1 reusable cotton filter (per pack) that is made from GOTS certified organic cotton (a renewable resource that is more efficient than plastic, metal or paper).
  • This filter last about 1 year and replace approximately 500 paper filters.
  • The Coffee Socks cotton filters absorbs some of the oils released from the coffee beans, yet lets acid pass through - this results in a brew that has all the clear, crisp, rich and robust deliciousness of paper brewed coffee without the paper taste, and all the richness of French press without the heavy oiliness.
  • A more economical choice; these filters are less expensive than many market alternatives (an average of 25% cost savings over premium paper filters).
  • Eco-friendly, durable and reusable.
  • No chemical fertilizers or pesticides.
  • A proud member of 1% for the Planet, and an official Food for Farmers partner.
  • Compostable.
  • Recyclable packaging.
  • Made by hand in Austin, Texas.

Directions: Boil filters in fresh water for 10 minutes to sanitize and preshrink. Rinse well. Fit filter around mouth of jar. Pour 6 oz. or 2 cups of coarsely ground coffee into filter. Pour water into open filter until grounds are thoroughly wet, and jar is nearly full. Close filter and twist, wrap ring tape around twisted section of filter and slip through ring. Drop filter into jar and top off with fresh water. Secure lid and set in refrigerator for 12-16 hours. Remove filter, discard grounds, rinse filter thoroughly and hang to dry. When contaminated, used with perishable foods, or when flow becomes restricted due to coffee oil buildup; rinse thoroughly, and boil once or twice for 10 minutes. Discard stained water between boils. Rinse until water becomes clear.

1 filter per package.
